About BattSix products...
BattSix products are not intended as replacements for your vehicles on-board gauges, their purpose is to provide a view of how the individual batteries in the pack are performing. The State of Charge information provided by BattSix is calculated assuming the batteries are "at rest" (vehicle not being driven or charging).
The displayed information differs on the various BattSix products...
BattSix Dash Display & PRO
The battery graphs represent actual battery voltage, 0 volts to fully charged.
The color of the individual bar graphs indicate the State of Charge, Green indicates 40% or more remaining, Yellow indicates less than 40% and Red indicates less than 20%.
Battery plots are from left to right, 6 5 4 3 2 1.
Dash Display is powered from a key-switched 12 volt source.
Pro is powered by the combination of batteries 1,2 &3.
The voltage readings and graphs let you visualize any imbalance in the pack.
PRO can be programmed for different voltages and battery types by changing the settings on its SD card Config.txt file.
Dash Display is programmed at the factory for a specific battery voltage and type and can't be modified.
Both have a display resolution of 0.1 volt.
BattSix Bluetooth for iPhone or Android
There are 2 versions, 6&8 volts and 12 volts.
The battery graphs represent "at rest" State of Charge from 0 to 100%
The voltage readings and graphs let you visualize any imbalance in the pack.
Android battery plots are from left to right, 1 2 3 4 5 6.
iPhone battery plots are from top to bottom, 6 5 4 3 2 1.
The Bluetooth versions have a built-in Li-Ion battery, they maintain its charge by charging from the highest voltage battery in the pack between sending data to the iPhone or Android device. This provides a 'gentle balancing' of the pack over time.
Both have a display resolution of 0.01 volt.
BattSix iPhone sends data at 10 second intervals depending on time it spends maintaing its internal battery.
BattSix Android sends data ~ every 5 minutes or whenever requested by pressing its button.
